  1. Wow, only 4 cities in the entire country, thats kind of lame. My area has about a million people (Ottawa) and they can't send one here?
  2. Not to mention Boeing also sells the 757 for customers that want the 767s technology/capability in a smaller package.
  3. What are the Pontiac "fans" so mad about? Pontiac has been pretty much dead since the 70s... after then, they built few cars that weren't Chevys with more plastic and a twin kidney grille. The only thing that was "Pontiac" about any current cars was the Pontiac badge. Other than that it was a ragtag collection of Chevys (G6 = Malibu basically, Montana is an Uplander, Torrent is Equinox), Daewoo (G3), Holden (G8), Toyota (Vibe), and one unique car, the Solstice. Really don't see what is worth getting upset over with those cars gone...
  4. Makes sense from Ford's point of view. Then they wouldn't have to deal with these rapidly fluctuating customer demands. For example. Gas prices go high, all of the sudden everybody wants small cars, Fords new SUVs rot on the lots. Then, when they've finally turned around and re-tooled their plants to pump out smaller, more fuel efficient cars, the gas prices have dropped and the lemming consumers are all back asking for big cars and SUVs. If there was a way to at least make gas prices stable (either always low or always high) it would be a lot easier to plan ahead and have the right products at the right times.
  5. No biggie for me since chains are illegal here. We get loads of snow too (Canada) but they don't want them tearing up the road.
  6. Mainstream buyers do not want RWD. Buyers in the snow belt do not want RWD. Ford needs to secure mainstream buyers before it can even think about building niche vehicles. People keep referencing the G8... Ever stop to look at the G8s sales numbers? Its a great car, but it flopped pretty bad. The lackluster Impala is still selling more.
  7. Its probably a US import that the dealer converted, for the convenience of whoever buys it... If they sell Sables in the UAE then they already have a KPH speedo, just a matter of ordering the part and installing it.
