  1. Welp, 26 days after the vehicle was shipped from Chicago, the DIO parts finally arrived at the dealership, here in Florida. Case closed.
  2. I went back to the email that Ford sent to me after the order was placed. I can now print the window sticker. The dealer installed options are listed on the window sticker.
  3. I just discovered that I can now see and print the window sticker. And the DIO parts are all included on the sticker.
  4. They were listed on the original order printout that I signed, back in June. And Ice-capades above says they are shipped separately from the vehicle.
  5. If that is true, that is good news. Per Ford, the vehicle was shipped from Chicago on October 28 and arrived at the dealership on November 7. How much longer would the dealer installed option accessories (which were included on the original order) be shipped? The dealer has now had the vehicle for 15 days with no parts in sight. The illuminated door entry keypad is listed as "out of stock" on the Ford site.
  6. It's also floor mats and the cargo area mat and net, not just the keypad. So, If I take delivery before it is "as ordered", I believe it will take the pressure off the dealership to get the parts in. I believe they screwed up by not ordering the parts sooner. Also, we now live over an hour from the dealership, so there are additional hardships to drop off and retrieve it.
  7. My new Explorer has been sitting at the dealership for 2 weeks now, because no one bothered to order the keyless entry keypad door panel (which was on the order.) These now must be installed by the dealer. The Ford site says they are "out of stock". Is there a chance they re-stock before January? I wasn't planning on not having a vehicle for months.

  9. It appears that my Edge was delivered with some pitting damage to the upper part of the windshield. (Maybe while it was on the railcar?) However, one cannot see it, unless the sun is shining right in your face, and you get the prism effect. Dealer says Ford won't replace unless the dealership can photograph the damage. I have no idea how that can be accomplished, shooting directly into the sun. Anyone else with 2016 windshield issues? Thanks!
  10. Can anyone tell me what the vinyl pieces (that hang on the side of the shade facing the back seat) and the clips attached to them, are supposed to be used for? My dealer has no idea. Thanks!

  13. My front passenger window regulator went out on me while I was working out of town last September. Luckily, a Ford dealer was nearby and took good care of me. Unfortunately, my driver side front window regulator also took a dive last Thursday, 430 miles AFTER my warranty expired. $300 just to get your vehicle window back up is much too expensive. Anyone else experiencing this problem? My wife and I owned Explorers for 15+ years and NEVER had a window problem.
  14. So, if my wife wants to take delivery of a 2011 Escape in mid-March, when is the optimum time to place the order? Thanks for your help. Love this forum. It was extremely helpful when ordering my '09 Escape.
