  1. That is wrong. They can NOT turn in to entry level positions. There are LTS's there right now with a year in and per contract it states they will be hired in after a year like other plants are doing properly. But per Union TODAY all LTS's that got in, sign a form per the UNION that states "you will not be hired in as a level 2 if you accept this LTS's position" I asked the Union person this and he had a balls to say "he was not there that day they got hired in" Where was the rest of the union, out to lunch ???? Funny thing is, several groups got hired in and all are the same. The UNION screwed these LTS's !!!!!! they are sleeping with the salaried people at Ford..... PS: no I am not a LTS but I care about my brothers and sisters so I speak up for them all the time.......
  2. They claim we may late this year or early next year. plus Tag relief starts Aug 1st, couple hundred new works been coming in these last couple week, people all over the place. I think what we have now is about 1 shift amount is seniority and 1 shift amount is all LTS's, with the first group of LTS's hired 1 year ago end of this July, that means after one year they get hired under tier 2 level. After 8 months of employment being a LTS they get/have health insurance and paid holidays.
  3. I know they won't but I wish postings would be at the Chicago Plant. Would love to get the hell out of this place. Everything is just wrong there. From the drive to the parking lot (fights and guns cause of a small lot and 1 drive way in/out) and you are not even in the building yet. Once in the building the walk to get to the floor is a joke. The hall way is only 3-4 feet wide, with a shift leaving mostly at the same time you are coming in. Oh and the stairs, if you have never been to Chicago or heard about the stairs you have walk just to come or go. Its 10 to 15 walk to get to your job from parking lot. Then management is able to do what they want and the union, well lets just say that's why management does what they want. So what I wish for is posting at the Chicago plant so I or we the people can get out of that place. Oh well
  4. At CAP we have maybe 45% of our work force are LTS's (temps) in plant, and still hiring them as of last week. Doesn't matter what we vote as seniority workers, wave a little money in there faces and they will pass anything. I believe this was planned to load up on temps before voting time and they will pass anything. What the % at other plants? R they doing the same at other plants?
  5. Hi, I worked there before transferring out to Chicago. Just wondering if Chad Miller still is working there?

  6. I don't know the real number, but word is 70% ish of afternoon shift is LTS. If I had to guess I would say a complete shift is LTS. Days has some but word is also most are seniority people. Last year when they hired them we ran 1 shift on seniority then they added a 2nd shift with only 130 people temp from LAP. They will be going back in the next 6 months word is. So I would have to say almost a complete shift is LTS.
  7. Your UAW Leadership has secured an opportunity for every active member of UAW/FORD at CAP to receive a referral card. This referral card gives each member the opportunity to refer one family or friend for testing. The cards will be available Monday April 25, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.. Seniority and LTS get one......... http://www.facebook.com/pages/UAW-LOCAL-551-COMMUNICATIONS/237227981231 After the 2nd shift was added and union officials got there family and friends in, a year later they do this for maybe a 3rd shift. I thought union officials don't put personal gains before the members. Blahaha sorry not sure what I was thinking..... Yes they DO
  8. An news on Chicago yet? Whats going on?
  9. I asked my union today and he got back with me and said 8.9% but it was not in writing yet. Hope it helps
  10. I thought in the fine print it said after 5 years you could be hired again by Ford....
  11. CAP's Day shift canceled last night at 10:55pm for today and Afternoons just canceled. Union said they will update for day shift tomorrow shortly.
  12. Same as when i was there 3.5 years ago before I left to CAP. Somethings never change. Good for you all still working......
  13. I thought there was a post saying all were gone by December. I am happy to see that was not true. Keep working Milan....
  14. Ur right we didn't change a thing that we know of, but I bet the rear half of the cow the UNION did. We just don't know it yet......
