Please review the Axle Availability chart for all axle availability changes. 3:55 gears are showing available now for Job #3 SRW PSD's. There has also been rumor of 6 speed torqshift transmission but who knows?
  2. Like said the recall of the flames was corrected by then. The recalls you would have after that would be better developments. Not really recalls but updates. As for the 6.0 there has been numerous but you dont always need to have them done only if your truck has problem.
  3. What are the advantages of these vacuum assist brakes. How much better are they than hydro assist? Just looking for some answer I dont know any thing about them.
  4. As of now the 6.4 compared to the 6.0 is holding up alot better because ford got to test them out alot. Just go ford.com and look at there super duty page, bold endures, team tough, etc. It is been tested hard. But the case of for being out of warranty buy an extended warranty you sould be alright. Hopefully.
  5. Well since your order its going to Job #2. So you can get the reverse camera, chrome package. Im not sure if the spray in bed liner is an option right now but its in the works.
  6. I would not tow 18K trailer with my truck. The reason I probably can handle it but the simple fact is the liability. Meaning you getting in an accident towing over loaded you will get nailed for every ticket possable. To me its not worth it specially taking the chance to lose my license which i have CDL. Once thats gone its gone for ever. The fact is I want to have the truck perform at it peak all of time I dont want over loading it affect its future when i own it. 2008 Job #2 is the second have the model year. This mean that there is up grades or options that have been added to the list. For explain the Job #2 in the 08 you can get a rear veiw camera, chrome package and few others. I believe every ford vehicle has this. I also may have changes functionally like specs on the vehicle itself or even motor.
  7. According the the 06 Ford specs 18k is over weight but people often tow over weight. Like said it can do it but stopping is what you need to concerned with. The ford spec says with an auto trans fifth wheel towing reg cab 4x4 max 15800, suber cab 4x4 max 15700, and crew cab 4x4 max 15500.
  8. I would not go with the an 07. Like said they hard to come buy and you most likely will not get what you really want. Plus the problems the 03s had only some have been resolved. There is still numerous people out there have problem with 06 and 07 models including me. I would go with an 08. If it was me I would buy a Job #2 08 since they have more options and the built with out needing to reflashed after a complete build.
  9. here one about the diesel idea http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...1024/LATESTNEWS heres at site http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/auto...ws/4217385.html http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Gener...rticleId=121287
  10. January may seem early to see an 09. But rumor has it the a diesel is going to introduced into the F-150 in 2009. Not knowing the size or specs but it has been a strong topic.
  11. I have read that the F-150 will have option of a diesel in 2009. That engine will be either a 4.4 or 4.5 and V6. It is similar to the 6.4 minus two cyclinders rumor says. From my under standing it going to be like 4.5 that is the LCF truck as the 6.0L was in the superdutys. As for it taking some 250 buyers away that would be a good thing. The point being many people want a diesel and get one but they just dont use it what is capible of doing. So a 150 with diesel will serve alot. Personally if i was in the market when they offer it I will buy.
  12. The wires are behind the fuse box on the drives side. They are 4 wires labeled aux 1 etc. On my truck they were contect with a wire tie to the main set of wires. Then follow the manual it will tell you what wire goes to what switch. The stuff that is part of upfitter switches on the passenger is the relays. You dont need to anything with those unless one blows.
  13. http://www.thedieselstop.com/contents/geti...6%20High%20Idle Take a look here. This is showing how to hook up the high idle but other than connecting the that on truck aready for to a aux wire it is basicly the same for adding other lights. Trust me I know i have stobes in the head and tail lights along LEDs in the grille.
  14. From what dealers have told me and I have read the element is in there but the cord is what part can be ordered. If the truck doesnt have one they should be about $50. Other wise the cord is wire tied up behind the passenger side fog light.
