Slate Auto Raises $650M as $25K Electric Pickup Nears Launch

nope..you still have to go to the Dealer too finalize...its just a shopping tool...the car is NOT delivered to your doorstep by Amazon. es, you can order cars through Amazon via Amazon Autos, which allows you to browse, compare, and initiate the purchase or lease of new and used vehicles from local dealerships. The process involves selecting a car online, arranging financing, and picking up the vehicle at a local dealership, with transparent, haggle-free pricing....just another buying service of which there are many..COSCO for instance. If its delivered to your house, its NOT by AMAAZON, it would be by a Dealership employee or a licensed and Insured delivery service....and that would be AFTER all the paperwork is signed, we literally do that now. -

I truly doubt youll EVER be able to order and get delivery of an Automobile through Amazon...imagine the returns...oh, and the porch Pirates...then theres DMV and original signatures required on specific paperwork... -
agreed...but they also , UNLIKE the F150, narrowed the range un-necessarily so IMO. The Supercab GONE...no regular cab either...again IMO they should have a base single cab with an HD payload package, and deleting the supercab with a sub 30k MSRP was , at least to me a glaring mistake, ranks right up there with deleing the 8 ft Supercab HD on the F150...we used to sell a bunch, primariliy to Commercial users, you could put in a cross bed tool box and STILL have 6 1/2 feet of bed. Corporate could probably justify the deletions with pie graphs, I just know what we get requests for, and our Ranger sales specifically, dropped significantly after the omissions.

and thats bit them in the ass post Covid....look what happened to bronco Raptors and Expeditions for example...the higher the MSRP the smaller the market. I agree, Ford sat back and watched the addendums and looked in the mirror thinking they werent charging enough for their cars....now the market has basically returned to normality and the higher MSRPs killed sales...so they dropped them 10 -12k. Heck the Darkhorse is overpriced...to the extent theres a 3k rebate on a supposed limited edition.... the SC may be different as its likely the supply will be severely constrained...but $170k???? and regardless...there will STILL be ADMs....( and sincerely, there will probably be less than 8k markup in the car...THATS part of the reason Dealers put addendums on them ) I dont condone ADMs but I fully understand why some Dealers utilize them...
