  1. Being a bit further away from the body may decreases the effect the turbulence from the mirror has on the aero of the body.
  2. I don't think a Lincoln Bronco needs a removable top. Make it a standard top (or the sliding glass roof we've seen the patent for) for a quieter ride and more luxurious feel. Having the nicer materials inside somewhat requires the top to be non-removable. Basically, a Lincoln Bronco needs to look the part of a hard-core off-roader because nobody (well, likely 0.01% of buyers) is actually going to take it off-road or remove the top or the doors.
  3. I have high hopes for the Lincoln Bronco as it may be a perfect candidate to replace the wife's Mach E in that '29/'30 timeframe.
  4. You don't have to log into an app to charge your vehicle. Just plug it in and away you go. It's actually easier that pumping gas because you don't even have to swipe your card.
  5. I don't see that happening for vehicles. Too many DIY oil changers out there for that.
  6. Yeah, the Edge was a mistake, and Ford knows that. Had the 3-row BEV panned out, it would be a different story. On the flip side, there will be more profit from the Super Duty at OAC than Edge was generating.
  7. Up until the past year, for the past 15 years, I've always taken my vehicles to the dealer for oil changes and most routine service. That's a thing of the past for me. If they didn't overcharge for incompetent techs, I would still be going there, but when I have to ask you to put a note on my file to rotate the tires according to the owner's manual's recommendation instead of how your lazy ass techs want to do it, I'm done. If you can't do something as simple as rotate tires properly, how can I trust you with anything else. And yes, nearly $600 for oil change and fuel filter change, even on a diesel Super Duty, is too damned expensive! </rant>
  8. It's just something you have to deal with for a vehicle with a removable roof and panels. I'm hoping the sliding glass roof makes it to production. That's likely how we would spec our next Bronco if so.
  9. My other vehicles are a Mach E and Super Duty Platinum, and both of those are extremely quiet (especially the Mach E), which is probably why the Bronco seems extra loud to me.
  10. Most of our driving is 65 ish, so we deal with it most of the time. I only get 17-18 MPG out of ours. But we have the Sasquatch package, which destroys MPGs!
  11. I'll deal with it before I put aftermarket roof panels on! We only put about 500 miles/month on ours, so not a huge deal, just a nuisance.
  12. I got a new laptop yesterday, and my Adblock didn't install automatically. Holy $hit was it impossible to browse without it. This site is horrible. You'd think they could put a few well-placed ads that don't detract from using the site so much, then maybe we wouldn't block them all!
