  1. But all of those products your talking about either had cost or other products that never came about that where supposed to replace them. That is why I'm assuming that the Maverick will stick around-the profitability issues won't be there as much as those other products and I'm going to assume it will be better because they'll apply what they've learned from CE1 to ICE products.
  2. Outside of the Ranger that came back, what light duty truck market did they exit? The one thing Ford has going for it is that they generally have a good reputation for Trucks and the Maverick hopefully isn't saddled with high costs that cut into profitability, which drove Ford's exit from sedans and some CUVs.
  3. If anything the new front fascia made it better looking (IMO) then the first gen.
  4. Well as far as I can tell/see, it looks like a truck and a not a science project, so that is a huge help! Overall size, it looks like pre T6 Ranger in overall length, but sits far closer to the ground, making it look smaller. So far very encouraging so far... And IMO this was setup and not as organic as made out to be.

  6. I'm sure they want to make sure that this product can be as successful as it can be, which is help driving this. The thing I'm curious about is how low Ford will be willing to go with the pricing on it. Will it be something similar to what happened to the Maverick-where it was really "cheap" then the price increased? I know other factors where at play but I can see that happening if it is successful like the Maverick was. Or will the CUV edition cost more to help offset costs?
  7. So does the App directly connect to the vehicle in someway? Also having a modem in a vehicle helps as an anti thief device, helping with insurance costs. Also are software updates done through the app? Lots of questions on that...
  8. The Bronco Sport and pre 2020 Escape are just about identical in size. From a front seating perspective-in the real world the current escape and Bronco Sport are identical in size. I’ve owned/driven all three and my wife has zero complaints going from a 2017 Escape SE with the 2.0L Ecoboost to a 1.5L Ecoboost Bronco Sport. There is a slight difference in power over 40-50MPH but otherwise identical and she went from fueling up two times a week to once a week with the BS.
  9. Well given what EVs are supposed to offer-fixing a vehicle like that will be almost impossible to fix in general with a single CPU with software controlled devices in the vehicle. It is a double edged sword-you have to balance repairability vs security of the system from people hacking it. The way I look at it is as long it’s easy to reboot the system for the end user (which would normally fix 80-90% of issues) it shouldn’t be a problem
