  1. Sounds like "Filson" is Ford wanting to wet it's toes on a Lincoln version and seeing how the market accepts it...
  2. I want bigger... like Chinese Aviator wide..well that one is "accepetable", would love to see a Nautilus kind though. Not sure what their direction is,to maybe let it rot on the vine.
  3. I can only hope the Explorer gets an interior redo , as well as the Aviator... would really like to purchase an Aviator, but not till it has the wide to wide Nautilus screen....
  4. Wow you are right.. it's like Grandma put on an S&M leather suit in the front trying to be dominating, and 2 nipple rings in the back. It IS hideous. A friend bought an Outback some months ago, and I told her it would compete well with products from 10 years ago. Tapped on all the hard plastics inside the cabin, lack of lighted switchgear, etc. and I'm like "Well for you it's an upgrade from a Hyundai product, so I'm glad your happy, it'll be reliable and utterly boring to drive, glad it wasn't a Toyota (it kinda is)...I wish you well".... and her husband just didn't have an opinion, he just wanted her to get ANYTHING and get rid of the Hyundai.
  5. My city bought the Explorer's with the 3.0L and love it, well the mechanics loved it as well, said the engine was great, it was just "other things" were annoying. Then they switched to Tahoe's because they are cheaper, cheaper to insure as well.
  6. Oh ssoooo many years ago, we heard from Ford (to paraphrase) "Well the days of 400K sales for a single vehicle are drawing to the end, the market is becoming fragmented, we are going to design the Escape to appeal to a softer buyer, and the BS will be geared towards more aggressive buyer"... and here we are. Meanwhile the Rav4 is pushing almost to 500K, and the CRV isn't far behind...I wonder if Toyda if making much money on there offerings.
  7. Notice on the Chinese Nautilus, the door handles are flush with the door, while the NA one has it along the belt line. Supposedly China is doing away with the electronic, flush kinda of door handles but maybe on this picture it's not detailed enough to see.
  8. My county uses it as a bus, well our public transportation system… sort of like a glorified Uber. So if its selling well, its being bought by Freebie, which is who they contracted with.
  9. I'm amused seeing people trying to back out of a parking space in a "little" RAV4, and having a hard time and I'm there rolling my eyes thinking "girl it's 181 inches, I'm sure in the 80s you were rolling on a Country Squire at 204 inches and you had no issues"... And here I was passing my driver's license test in a 740iL that was equally 204 inches...🤣
  10. The sad thing is, if there's a joke to be had, it's about Ford debuting vehicles because fanboys are starving for products. If it were VW the joke would be "VW, rated highest in long term dependability"...and we all know it would be a joke...
  11. Ford could bring back "MysticChrome" 🤨 I do agree that new Mazda red is beautiful, just wonder how expensive it'll be to repaint if there's a scratch/accident...
  12. Since Autoblog has turned into an AI, chatbox website, I haven't bothered reading them much lately... "MAY"... one keyword can really make a difference. They love to throw "what if" headlines lately. I deal with government, where "may", and especially "shall", do not make up for WILL and MUST. Granted, I enjoy the conversation and the renderings. But it's just goes to show how sad and hungry we are to actually see Ford introduce something....
  13. Just like Nautilus... optional engine dropped from 310 to 285, sadly all that vehicle is missing is a good 70-80HP. Going down from it's glory days of 355HP in it's previous generation. I feel like saying "Look ship the vehicle from China and keep the "adequate" engine overthere, and let us put a serious 2.3L tuned to 355HP" (like you can opt in the Ranger)
  14. Part of me appreciates how, at least with Ford and most automakers, like a cafeteria, you can pick your toys. Then it's times like this where I appreciate Hondas DX LX EX simplicity. Want all the toys, EX...sadly, Honda has mediocre interiors that lack toys and details.
