joihan777
some more aministration screww ups to make them look good. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/jobs-saved-...tory?id=9097853 Pelosi was quoted "If this stimulus Bill isn't passed, 500 million Americans will lose their jobs." Gee, I didn't think there WERE 500 million Americans in the first place! (But go on, go ahead and tell me how Bush & Palin are not as smart as Obamelosi)
mustang84isu
Went through the PDF to a project I am working on that is receiving stimulus funds, and the amount the district received is the same as what is quoted in the PDF. My hometown also received funds to contribute toward a new wellness center and the amount quoted in the newspaper shows up on the sheet. This quote was most interesting to me: ""We report what the recipients submit to us," Ed Pound, communications director for the board, told ABC News. The board collects declarations from recipients of the cash - state governments, federal agencies and universities. ""Some recipients clearly don't know what congressional district they live in, so they appear to be just throwing in any number,'' Pound explained. "We expected all along that recipients would make mistakes on their congressional districts, on jobs numbers, on award amounts, and so on. Human beings make mistakes.'' Going through the list of top recipients in my state, they all made sense based on what I know is currently underway for development. Nothing stood out as being suspicious. So likely it was human error, considering how many recipients there are for this one state alone. This doesn't excuse errors, but when you are dispersing hundreds of billions and dividing it up among thousands upon thousands of recipients, there is going to be a margin of error no matter what.
