fordworker
thats what you GOP peoples hero said.. McCain said again that GM and Chrysler should not have got a dime from TARP, only the rich bankers should have got it.. And he said we make too much $$ and have to GENEROUS benefits.. Translation We have no right making $28 an hour and we have no right getting a pension thats what he is saying.... I hope u Rebublicans like that because without that help for GM Ford would have gone under also and we would be lucky to be making $18 an hour and the retirees would have NO VEBA and half their pensions... thanks John and what did u mean when you came to Michigan and said "I support help for the big 3" ... 73mach1
how much money is too much? I had to call my broker years ago when RAND reported that we make $74 an hour. I was espcially angry because now my chauffuer and maid now knew my true fortune. Luckily after the last round of pay cuts I had to lay off the chauffer and cut the maid to part time. Get real my wife and I both have to work full time to lead a decent life! It pains me when everyone knows what I make and yet noone else has to reveal what they make ala managment! I aint bitchin. Its still better then when I worked at Mcdonalds on the hamburger assembly line.

I guess since we are bringing up history, maybe you should look at who was in control of both Houses when Bush came into power, and who was in control when Bush left. If you want to keep blaming him for everything, go right ahead. It ain't going to change a damn thing. But the fact is, the guy who is in there right now is doing a worse job then Bush did. So either be a man and admit how bad Barry is, or be a man and admit Bush wasn't that bad. Because anyway you want to slice it, those are your only two choices. Because we live in a Country where we have the right to choose. Did you ever here of MLK,Rosa Parks thank God they did not have your small mind. People who challenge the system make it better for all of us. To prove that this site would not exist without the freedom of speech!!! You may not like what John Mcain has to say but he has that right as a American. BAILING OUT ANY COMPAY IS A BAD IDEA!! Let them fall it was there fault anyway bad management, product and bad union policy's. Very simply those car companies got out of the business of building cars people wanted to drive. That's why cash for clunker's 56% of people choose a foreign brand over American. My advice to you is grab a book learn both sides and make a educated decision not what your union or party tells you to vote.

hotcarl
Small mind and uneducated? You republicans sure like to insult people (even people that you don't know)Your God and your church must be so proud of you. Is it not true that most Republicans are anti-union? I am a proud UAW member who feels that he is fairly compensated (possibly underpaid compared to our executives). The big three was profitable (even with our costs and bad union policy whatever that means)until energy prices under Bush went crazy. The big threes reluctence to diversify their automotive portfolio with fuel efficient vehicles to go with the high profit trucks and suv's is the primary reason for their problems. The UAW does not design or engineer the vehicles that we build. Go find someone else to blame.

Hmm, the waY I see it is the GOP tells you up front. the Dems don't tell you until they screw you with entitlement program spending costs via taxes that we as middle class get to pay forby paying more taxes. remember those Bush tax cuts that will exspire next year. Not only do you lose about 4 grand for that you also get to pay more in fuel taxes, proposed taxes on soft drinks oh, I almost forgot the tax increases on tobacco. Yeah them Dems are really for us working class people. Good grief think they are all politicians. The only way to tell they are lying is to wait for their lips to start moving.
