2010 Ford Fusion SE

Recommended Posts

Hi, I ordered my car on Sept. 17th. My vin number is 3FAHP0HA7AR240259. Can you please track this for me? Thanks!

Window sticker will be here about a week before build: http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.co...AHP0HA7AR240259

Also try calling Ford Customer Care and getting some dates (if your dealer isn't being helpful): http://www.ford.com/about-ford/company-inf...on/contact-ford

I wasn't getting helpful information from the dealer, so I called Ford and got a couple dates (12 Oct and 19 Oct). I ordered Labor Day Weekend (order went through 8 Sep, I believe).

Hope that helps.

I called Ford yesterday but she didn't know much. She said the "schedule to date" was Oct. 26th but I haven't been able to find any information about what that means. I had figured out how to work the window sticker thing but what does seeing the window sticker help?

I called Ford a week or so ago and go "scheduled from" of 12 Oct and "scheduled to" of 19 Oct....I haven't been able to figure out what those two mean, either...but I figured I'd at least have a window sticker by the second date.

If you look in the FAQs, the window sticker will be put up about a week before the anticipated build date (and the anticipated build date will be in the upper left hand corner). If you need an example, look here: http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.co...VBP8AN1A5153579 (see the date is XYYYYMMDD, so 30 Sep 2009 is the anticipated build date).

No "Blend Date" = No window sticker. The blend date is when the .pdf file is generated, so unfortunately you have to wait until you see that date before a window sticker becomes available. Also note that we assume that you WANT the window sticker posted. If you do not (say, for privacy reasons), MAKE SURE that you indicate this in your request. I have no mechanism available to email you your .pdf. It has to be either posted or you're out of luck.

...

Blend Date: The date that MP&L determines when the order will be built within the assigned day.

When they figure the specific order that vehicles will be built. This depends on options and line constraints.

...

# Sequence Date to Blend Date: This is usually one of the longest waits, it can be anywhere from a week to a month (or longer if the vehicle is a special edition or limited run!) It is completely dependant on the anticipated build date, the blend date will be almost exactly one week before the build date.

# Blend Date to Produced Date: One week, NEVER before. Sometimes later if there is a production hiccup at the plant but seldom more than 2 weeks.

...

Q. Is there a way to determine what the anticipated build date is by looking at the information on the window sticker? Simply put, is the build date included in one of those codes?

A. The "anticipated" build date is within the top section the sticker -- immediately to the left of the "Blend" number. The format of the number will be XYYYYMMDD. This sticker is generated 1 week before the anticipated build date, so it can still be affected by a production hiccup (like a major machine breakdown or running out of a certain part), but generally it is close.

I was just reviewing window stickers posted by others and I don't see anticipated build dates on some of them...so maybe after it is sent out, that information goes away; I do not know.

I figured hanging out on this forum would at least pass the time a little more for me during my wait.

Hope that helps...that's about all I know for now.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have my window sticker now but it doesn't have an anticipated build date on it. What does that mean?

Could anyone give me an update on the status of my car? I see that people are saying there is a shortage of transmissions which is shutting down some plants. Is this true for the Mexico plant?

I never got a build date on mine but mine is going to be at the dealer tomorrow...that's about 20 days after the date on the bottom of the sticker ( date on the bottom of yours is 10/19...so I'd give it until the second week of November or so... looks like you're in Iowa, so maybe it'll be quicker for you ). Good luck.

Thanks, that sounds about right. I called ford and they said my estimated arrival date got pushed back a week to the second week in November.

Will the build date show up later when there is a build date decided or is it one of those situations where once the window sticker is created, it isn't changed?

I think once it shows up, it doesn't change (at least that was the case for me). Although, if you want the build date, talk to your service department after you get the car and they can pull up an OASIS report (I believe that's what it's called) and it has all kinds of information on it (build date, for warranty purposes, I assume; service bulletins; etc). I'm not really sure why it never had a date on the window sticker, but I've seen Fusion stickers before that do have them. When I pick up my car tomorrow, I'm going to see if the sticker is any different than the one online.
