biggee72
So after seeing this posted on one of my forums I began to ask around. If Ford has no plans to bring the RS to the US why is it here? I hear there are 3 of them in the US. 2 for testing and a white one which is a personal car for a ford big wig. So why test them here if they won't be here? Is someone not telling us something? Photo was NOT taken by me but by a fellow member on my fusion board.
akirby
Sometimes they bring vehicles here just for testing. It allows them to do more tests in parallel which shortens the development cycle.
GapBoyPCS
Testing is one thing. Media ops are another. Usually these vehicles have to be "shipped back" to their originating country at some point (at least that's my understanding). Auto manufacturers have some leeway in bringing cars over to the US for limited testing. If I recall, there were some last generation RS tooling about HQ a few years ago. JimmyL57
Ford not dare to actually bring a sporty car to the USA? WHy that would make all the others look like CRAP!

biggee72
I see no reason not to bring it to the US, even in limited numbers but what the hell do I know, I'm just the consumer.
Ford Legacy
I understand that they only brought a small amount into Mexico... There was one on ebay about 2 weeks ago... A guy from Chicago bought it for $45k. Not sure how he will fare in trying to get it registered!

No, you're just ONE consumer and you don't speak for the rest of us. Thanks.
