lawnman
I buy new ford trucks every three years. I bought my 06 f350, dully, lariat, 4.10 in Dec 05. So now i will order a new 09 F350, dully lariat. I always had the 3.73 axle until i bougth this last one. The dealer said this would help in pulling my trailer. I pull a 25' enclosed trailer with three mowers that weigh about 3500 lbs. Do i need to go back with the 4.10 or get the 3.73. I know the 4.10 uses more diesal. Is the royal red darker or lighter than the dark toreador. How long will it take to get this truck. I will keep this one until i get the new one in. Thanks for any information, love my ford trucks, great site.

Sportscraft
The 3.73's should pull it with no problem. Most people say to go with 4.10, but I know atleast 3 people that pull 15,000 pound plus horse trailers with the 3.73's with no problems (although this was with the 7.3L and 6 speed manual). People tried to talk them into the 4.10's also but they said no thankyou.
