First, where do you get almost $50,000 and what the hell did Ford do to this car besides NOT putting power to all four wheels to justify that kind of price? I would love to have this car, but one thing is that its FWD. I don't give two shits what they did to keep it from spinning, you can't compare it to putting the power down to all four wheels. Ford could probably have a market for it if the car was in the low 30's and AWD. This car basically rivals the EVO and STI from WRC. I know there are alot of people drooling for this car to come, but it has to be priced right and be AWD. If it stays FWD, the car needs to be priced to be competative with the Cobalt SS, Dogde Caliber SRT-4, and the Mazda Speed 3. Ford has so many cool cars everywhere but here. The article says it would cost 25,000 british pounds which back when this artcle was written was $49,715.00 U.S. dollars. This is before they make the changes to meet U.S. crash and EPA specs. Which will increase the cost even more.

You can get a AWD EVO X starting at $32,000.
Ford Jellymoulds
To be fair UK car prices are a lot higher than you have in the US, but even so you can still buy a Scoobie WRX AWD car for £19,677 that works out at $10,000 cheaper than the 2WD Fake RS Focus, it would be sad to say which car the hot hatch buyer will buy. RS brand has always been about how good it is, not how fast it goes. 2WD Focus is not good when everybody else offers AWD for less. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NY5XEyAqmf0&...feature=related Edited December 13, 2008 by Ford Jellymoulds

Red Star
Cars are in general more expensive in Europe. We are paying $21,000 for VW GTI while Europeans are paying 29,000 euros ($39,000).
