rmc523
Here's my take on a 7 passenger Ford Edge (the Sport model). Doubt anything like this would ever happen though, given the Flex and coming Explorer (even with the current one). Not much difference, except for the lengthened wheelbase. Extra length was added to the front and rear doors as well as the cargo area. I'll post the original for comparison.

Thanks, and it only took a week for somebody to respond (nothing against you of course, Ford-150).
JW
No minivan ever looked that good. I like it, but I think I'd rather see more length behind the doors (leave them the same size, and move everything else back, taking the wheelwell out of the door some more). Correct me if I'm wrong, but the biggest criticism that most 3-row vehicles like this get is poor access to the 3rd row. How about instead of making the doors longer, you were to take a cue from the F-150 or RX-8 and put in a 'doorlet' behind the rear doors for 3rd row access? Whether it swings out, or slides is your choice. I know that a sliding door screams minivan, but it is much easier to get out of in a parking space. It may/may not be impractical to build, but AFAIK it's never been tried.
NLPRacing
How about a 3 bar grill on a CX-9?

I'll try to incorporate these ideas into new chops, which I hope to be able to work on sometime this week.
