NickF1011
Looks cool...but then again, most artist renderings do. It won't look a thing like this. I do, however, think it will be quite a bit more swoopy than the current model, more like the Fiesta.
theoldwizard
Why is it that all artist think we are shorter than 5'6" and that the only one who might ride in the back seat of a compact was under the age of 10 ? I had an old Escort GT circa early-mid 1990's. Hatchback. We used to put 4 adults in it. I'm 5'9" around 250 (at that time). Shotgun was over over 6'2" probably close to 275. The little guys in the back were 5'10" and 6' and both well north of 200. While the boys in the back wouldn't want to take a long ride, we went to frequently drove to lunch which was any where from 15 to 30 minutes one way. It must not have been bad, because we took my car almost every day ! Getting in and out of the back wasn't too bad, if you slid the front seat all the way forward first. Growing up, my Dad had a '92 Escort GT and then a '95 Escort LX 2-door hatch. The hatchback made for a very spacious passenger compartment. The Hatchback has always been the most efficient design for interior space and flexible cargo carrying options, I never understood why the concept was never well embraced in America beyond the SUV. Where did these drawings come from? The next gen Focus is probably 2011 or 2012. Edited March 14, 2008 by BORG

Edstock
A wonderful collection of compound curves. Now, can I have a 300hp AWD one, please? I'll pay extra for flush side glass, instead of the cheap stuff.

BigBadBflo
I like the ideas shown. Even if stretched to current Focus dimensions I think they will still work very well.

I don't really like the looks of the taillights either, at least the way they cut into the rear glass.
MERKURXR4Ti
I want it, great sketch! I love the line starting vertically on the front of the door and sweeping over the rear wheels, though its kickdown in the back is somewhat unsightly. Some small/short cars can seat tall people (I'm 6'5"), I would rather not sacrifice any space, but keep it looking like this!
danup
It at least does a better job of keeping some Focus design cues than the other mockups I've seen have. I like it, even in imagined toned-down flesh version.
