Wanderinglost
Wouldnt you know this when you left on Friday ?? Nope, we were off Thurs and Fri due to some breakdown and we're supposed to listen to the radio or call in to some number to see if we are to report back on Monday or not. Captain723
Nope, we were off Thurs and Fri due to some breakdown and we're supposed to listen to the radio or call in to some number to see if we are to report back on Monday or not. There was a crank or stamping die that broke in a press?? I did not hear how long it would be down, but I did originally hear that it may take some time (week or 2). This is a assembly plant...if they have to fly to BFE to get the part they will. I don't suspect it will be down too long. they hope to have it up and running next week! There is a new number for plant interuptions on the top of everyones check to call. This is for Ford plants only. Not sure if it will have AAI info or not?? Wanderinglost
Anyone know if we're working next week? According to the phone message, we are to report Monday Jan 7th at our normal time. I'm going to check the message again later in the day. These people down there can't seem to make up their minds about anything and I'm not driving all that way to find out they changed again. But as of 2pm today, we are back to work Monday.
Level Pebble
There is a notice with Dave Deboodt's name on it on the Local 3000 web site that says we are to report Monday at our normal times.

Frawgee
Press was reassembled and fired up after repairs. Ran a few parts and was shut down again. Seems to be further issues with hot bearings. Heard rumors of working only Monday and Tuesday (7th and 8th) and then off again the balance of week. Asked Trim manager about short week and he claims it ain't so. But it does sound like reduced build numbers, though. Take it all for what it's worth... and that ain't much. Things change around here so fast nobody seems to know anything for sure. Edited January 8, 2008 by Frawgee
