It's a slick little rear-entry level vehicle that has Lincoln luxury at Focus prices. Unlike the Focus, the new MKY has a patented Astroglide suspension for a smooth and painless ride. At the rear of course, it uses stick on reflectors (Mark LT style) on the decklid to visually complete the abruptly ended taillamps of the 08 Focus which looks like they should have continued on the decklid in the first place... Inside, improving on the all new Focus interior, the MKY builds on the foundation of a true modern Lincoln hallmark by adding a wood rimmed steering wheel.... (It was a direct bolt on replacement out of the Ford parts bin. You were not really expecting any other changes where you? You are lucky they are covering the embossed Focus nameplate on the right side of the dash with an overlay that says MKY)... Another Lincoln hallmark being added to this upmarket Focus variant is puddle lights... That's all you get folks... But at least you get the Lincoln name and you won't have the shame of having to tell people you bought a Ford... Oh shit! They gotta change the name of the Astroglide suspension too... They will get around the use of he KY in MKY because the modified pronunciation will be "MARK WHY?" in case any controversy brews at the last minute... twintornados Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 ....but then again, if Lincoln developed a new car based on the C2 global (next Focus chassis) to slot in under the MKZ which is going to get larger when it goes to the Mondeo chassis....then this car could "work" on a level that would befit a Lincoln.
