mcanton40
Just wondering if anyone has taken in there expy for the wind noise TSB and did they correct the problem. I will be taken mine in as soon as my new rim gets to the dealer. My problem is only on driverside at Expressway Speeds. But it is loud enough to notice easy. Besides this little problem the truck has been fantastic. Went on a golf outing to Canada this last week, and with four adults luggage, four sets of golf bags I was just under 19 MPG"s. Not bad for only just under 900 miles on the truck. Edited June 26, 2007 by mcanton40
kenttrudiw
We have had ours in twice, the second time we told them about the fix, which they tried. We still have the wind noise, it seems even worse after they looked at it. so I have to reside that we will just have to live with it:) Hope your truck has better results! Buzzforbrains
I too have the wind noise but it seems to come from the mirror not the B pillar in the TSB.
Expy Rick
I noticed the same thing on the driver side window of my new Lincoln Navigator Ultimate L. The ride is amazingly quiet; the slight buffeting I hear is not duplicated on the passenger side. I'm taking it into the dealer where they tell me they have a special ultrasonic listening device. Hopefully we can pinpoint it and there will be a fix. As is, I believe the ride is still quieter than all the GM competitors.
Expy Rick
Took the Gator to the dealer and didn't even need to go on a a test drive. The tool senses leaks in the weather stripping while the vehical is stationary. Areas of leaks were detected and new window channel weather stripping was ordered. Hopefully that will do it. Buzzforbrains
Has anyone notices that the weatherstripping on the door frame near the top doesn't sit fully against the body? There seems to be a small gap almost as if the rubber was not large enough. Check it out. This maybe causing the wind noise.
Expy Rick
I just got my new weatherstripping installed yesterday. Worked like a charm.

mcanton40
Yes, that's the one. Got my wind noise issue looked at yesterday. Even though the TSB was for 12-7-06 and before and mine was built in May of this year they followed the TSB fix. Seems to have solved my driverside wind issue. Hopefully this TSB will solve mine as well. After 40mph the noise is really bad.
