I have a problem with my 17 F250 SD. It started with 500 miles on the truck. I now have 8000. It is an intermittent rattle. I finally took the door panel off last night and drove the truck without the door panel on. The rattle is still there. I looked at all of the inner workings of the door and can not replicate or find the rattle. It sounds like it is coming from the lower hinge area. I am stumped. I will probably leave the door panel off and take it to the dealer to get some answers. If anyone has any updates on this problem, please share.

So I put the door panel back on and the drove it for a day with no rattle. It came back today. I notice that when the metallic click happens when I open and shut the door, I also have the rattle. I don’t know if those two are related or not. I tried the tape on the striker and that did not solve my issue... If anyone has this issue or can help to resolve, please let me know.  Also, are there any Ford techs that monitor this forum?

I have linked a video of the metallic click and the rattle. Let me know if the links don’t work.

That would drive me crazy.

My 2012 Focus has (had) a dash rattle that I fixed with a piece of rubber in between the dash pad and instrument cluster.
