Dave_SF
We bought our Navigator as an AWD family hauler, mostly for our frequent 400 mile round-trip weekend trips to Lake Tahoe from the San Francisco bay area. In the process of choosing the right car, I considered, shopped, and test-drove nearly every option in the space. The two biggest contenders being the Toyota Sienna AWD and MB GLS. While those might seem like less direct rivals than the Escalade, the long-wheelbase ESV was not an option for us, so only the Sienna rivaled the Navigator's interior space, and only the MB GLS offered a compelling level of luxury and size. For us, the Navigator is the best option by a wide margin, including over many other rivals. For those interested in the details, I did a pretty thorough write-up... 2018 Lincoln Navigator .. the new standard in family hauling?
