Anthony
https://jalopnik.com/the-2019-chevrolet-camaro-gets-a-four-cylinder-1le-and-1825102774 Uhhhhh........ The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro just dropped, and holy crap does it look nuts. But while the headlights and that wild grille are the most obvious alterations from the 2018 model, The General made some hardware changes for 2019 as well, including suspension and brake goodies for the 2.0-liter base motor. rmc523
You beat me to it. I'm putting my post into my reply here, so the mods can close the other one. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/04/09/2019-chevy-camaro-revealed/ Here's the 4-cyl/V6 front: As with the current model, the four-cylinder and V6 models have a different look than the SS V8 model. But instead of the changes being mostly in the lower grille, the entire front is different. The V8 is the most drastically updated, featuring a massive black grille spanning the whole front. It looks extremely similar to the recent look of Bumblebee from the latest "Transformers" films. The grille features the "Flowtie" square in the middle for additional airflow, and the hood also gets a functional air extractor. The four- and six-cylinder models have more conservative updates, keeping the upper and lower grilles separate, and keeping the badge in the middle of the top one. They are much more sculpted now, and the headlights flow into the the grille on all versions. The tail is less drastic with reshaped taillights and a tweaked rear bumper. The next big addition to the Camaro lineup comes in the form of another 1LE variant. This time, the turbocharged four-cylinder gets the treatment. It features effectively the same FE3 suspension found on the V6 1LE and the SS. It also comes with engine, transmission and differential coolers, launch control, a no-lift shift function and electronic sound enhancement that uses recordings of the actual engine. And like all other 1LE models, it has a matte black hood and accents. The SS also sees some updates outside of its new look. It will now be available with the 10L80 10-speed automatic also found in the Camaro ZL1. It also has available launch control and line-lock, the latter of which means it will be as easy to do a burnout with the Camaro as it is with a Mustang. Top level SS and ZL1 models also now get a rear-view mirror display like that found in Cadillacs. It's part of a move to help alleviate the blind-spots created by the Camaro's big C-pillars. Since apparently only the top trims have visibility problems, those are the only ones available with the fancy mirror... The 4-cyl/V6 looks ok, but that SS front end is absolutely terrible looking. akirby
I actually kinda like it including the grilles. I think it looks way better than any recent ones. Still not a fan of the taillights or the gunslit windows though.

silvrsvt
OMG that grill treatment is horrible! This car has more or less the same side profile since it launched in 2007?
akirby
This car has more or less the same side profile since it launched in 2007? If it didn't then it wouldn't be a Camaro. Hasn't Mustang also been basically the same?
fuzzymoomoo
If it didn't then it wouldn't be a Camaro. Hasn't Mustang also been basically the same? Not nearly as similar as the Camaro has been. The 2015 profile changed quite a bit.
silvrsvt
Not nearly as similar as the Camaro has been. The 2015 profile changed quite a bit. Camaro-photos are flipped around, but for a new platform, only thing that "looks" different is the glass window. Assimilator
It's growing on me, but it has some bad angles. Like most GM designs it has quite a bit going on so I need to see it in person to judge fully. Ford favors classic simplicity while GM has more fun with complicated surfacing and shapes which can look good, but Mustang certainly has a much more confident visual presence that is far more iconic. Ford favors classic simplicity while GM has more fun with complicated surfacing and shapes which can look good. The last 3-4 years of new Chevys have looked better in person. Im personally not a fan of their designs. Too angular for my tastes.
jpd80
Just my opinion but the more GM offers in lower Camaros, the less reason buyers have to look at V8s. Conversely, Mustang offers that defined change and better affordability (just) for more V8 buyers.
jniffen
The times I have sat in one during a car show, it was very claustrophobic, roof too low and the blind spots are huge.
Anbevo
I think it's a nice improvement to the front end. I have rented them a couple times on business trips and couldn't wait to get out of it. Superb chassis and drivetrain, terrible package.... which is why it has not sold well.

Fgts
Bit ugliness to it but I like the aggressiveness of it, it's ok. Hopefully it's priced better this time.

Rich B.
Speak of the devil, looked at a SS a few weeks ago. Had most options but not a auto fan even if ten speed. Way more plastics than any Ford I've ever owned and the LED door entry looked like a string of Xmas lighting. Also the front fenders seemed to contain too much hollow fender around the tires. Not tire openings but open space behind/in back of metal. Motor was what? 460HP not much difference from my 6 year old Trackey Boss (how can that be). Quad tips, still couldn't match my straight through Corsas and open side-pipes for sound (not loud- unless). All in all with the $50K MSRP not interested, but never say never. rmc523
The rear end is a big improvement, especially the new taillights. I agree. The new bumper and taillights look better, just that front looks horrid.
probowler
OMG that grill treatment is horrible! This car has more or less the same side profile since it launched in 2007? It's improved a lot since the retarded bumblebee trashcan Chevy crapped out but the Mustang and Challenger just blow it away in looks and class. But IMO it's still pretty similar. Would not drive
