boredinbirmingham
Has anyone else experianced the proximity alert tone not going through the stereo speakers but a different speaker under the dash when the vehicle has been started with the remote? Just curious why this may be.
Assimilator
Both my 2016 and 2018 MKX have this same problem, as did a Continental loaner. You'll notice it will also effect the door chime, instead of the lovely melody you'll get that older Ford tone coming out of a low quality dashboard speaker. So indeed it's very common, I'm not sure why they've never been able to fix this. It's so common I actually see it in reviews for Lincolns. Here is an example of it in a Continental review video. https://youtu.be/6r83grKyHH0?t=35s
