LHB
Planning to trade 2007 MX-5 Grand Touring PRH and a 2015 F150 Platinum on 2018 Navigator; checked with my insurance agent .... Insurance premium to MORE THAN DOUBLE (like 2.2 times) what it was to cover both the current cars. That smarts! slumlord
Shop around. I pay under $1200 a year for 250/500k and low deductible. I always call around every year and make them compete for my business. It all depends on where you live, how much you drive, your record, age, etc etc
steelerfeever
I'm a 15 year State Farm Agent. Going from a 2013 Infiniti QX56 to a 2018 Nav Reserve is $1,060/year to $1,198/year, with 500/500 liability, 500/500 un/underinsured liability, and $250 comp/coll deductibles, rental, towing and med pay. Slumlord is correct, it all depends on where you live, your driving record, age, how many miles you drive, etc... What's also huge are loyalty discounts, you can get another 20-30% off if you've been with the same carrier a long time. And don't forget to bundle with your home insurance.
LHB
After going over my agents numbers more closely and checking back on what I've paid last found the the 'current' $ the agents program showed was not correct but much lower than what I had actually been paying .... so, the difference it gave was way off. Turns out that covering the 2018 Navigator will cost me $19 and some change (6 months) more than I had been paying for the two vehicles. Still a bunch o' dollars, but not as much an increase as originally told. Edited April 6, 2018 by LHB
