Wrap and CQuartz Ceramic Coating

So I picked up my Navigator Tuesday night, Wednesday morning it went straight to the paint protection. Got the full front wrapped with Xpel film and then the whole thing Ceramic coated in (CQuartz) Picked it up and couldn't be happier. The guys at the shop said my truck had more people looking at it than any of their other cars. (some pictured below) they said they couldn't believe it was so popular. But also agreed it is super nice and not at all what they (or anyone else who looked at it) expected of a Lincoln/Ford.

Also, I am way out of date on paint protection -- "sealant" always used to be a dealer scam. What is this Ceramic coating?

Ceramics are the new wax. It does work quite well and lasts about a year, but it’s really expensive. And most are applied by independent dealers not at the auto dealership. So not quite the old “mop and glo” dealer scam.

I am glad I did the front wrap that should help with rock chips and stuff. My last truck I did nothing to it and it got a little beat up. As for the coating I will know more when I do the first wash in a week. It just looks like a nicely waxed car but it should be easier to clean and it will keep that "just waxed" look for a few years. This truck lives outside so I wanted to keep it looking as good as I can for as long as possible. Right now it is covered in GA's great yellow pollen!

Ah, yes... I too suffer with the GA pollen. I prefer it over the red mud though. In two weeks Im taking my new Navigator to the woods and will see how the mud comes off in the wash.

People not from GA just don’t understand GA red clay. It will wash off the vehicle but you’ll never get it out of your socks.

You should have seen the undercarriage of my last car, it was stained red from the front skid plate all the way to the spare tire along with the wheel wells. Often when I was parked outside after driving in heavy rain there would be a red square outline of my car from the stuff. Seriously, drive through one good mud pit and its with you forever.
