Ford: Please make the double horn honk after stepping out of car with key in possession and engine running optional.

This is a truly annoying feature.

It’s easy to avoid.

1 - turn off the car
2 - leave the fob in the vehicle
3 - the simplest - don’t shut the door completely

You can also turn it off with Forscan if you’re brave.

It’s easy to avoid.
1 - turn off the car
2 - leave the fob in the vehicle

4 - hold the fob very near the door handle as you shut the door.

Use Forscan to disable the feature.  Done.  Us owners have been doing this for several years now.  Just a setting change that Forscan to modify.
