CherylArtrip
but there is some kind of infographics comparison car 2018 and 2019?
twintornados
but there is some kind of infographics comparison car 2018 and 2019? . Since 2018 end date and 2019 start date is only four days apart, there isn't going to be much to compare the differences between the 2018's and 2019's... akirby
but there is some kind of infographics comparison car 2018 and 2019? The 2019 order guide will show you the differences but it probably won't be available until early May.
pffan1990
So I'm guessing that Ford has no plans on updating the Transit for 2019 model year then? No changes to engines such as dual injected 3.5L EB V6, replacement of 3.7L V6 with F150's 3.3L V6, as well as possible addition of 2.7L EB V6? Surely F150's 3.0L turbo-diesel V6 would replace the aging 3.2L I5. If there's only four days in between end of 2018 model year and start of 2019 model year, then I guess there's not much changes at all being applied for the 2019 model year. That explains why the Transit wasn't revealed at any recent auto shows. The New York Auto Show site shows that only Lincoln plans on doing a conference. So I guess the Transit won't be updated until 2020 model year.

The diesel is likely and so is the Second Gen EB3.5L and the 3.3L replacing the 3.7L. Personally, I can NOT believe that Ford has NOT come out with Chateau/Titanium package yet, or at least second row "captains chairs"/bucket seats !
92merc
I'm sure all the early build 3.0 diesels will be allocated to the F150. So it'll probably be another year before they hit the Transit. The 3.3 I would think could go in anytime. Not unless they are waiting to roll out the 8 speeds FWD trans at the same time.

I'm wondering if Ford is planning on rolling out the changes over the course of two model years to save on costs. They did this with the F-150 back in 2009 with the styling changes only to come out with the new engines the next model year or so to save money. I too like the Chateau Package as was offered on the old Econoline and don't understand why this is not offered on the Transit as well as the Titanium line. I like the 10-passenger option on the short wheelbase Transit but hate the idea of the 2-passenger 2nd-row bench seat when they easily could have offered captain's chairs for the 2nd-row. There's also the optional sliding driver side door that's only offered on the cargo but not the wagon. What gives?
