BigDeal
I don't know anything about Ford Canada but if you only worked 10 years and were fired ....uhhhhh hell no!!!
twintornados
I usually stay out of the employee discussion board as, well, I am not a Ford Employee...but I am a Union Rep for a large public employee union in NY. You would first need to check to see if you were "vested" in the retirement plan and secondly, you state you were terminated, did your termination include "loss of all benefits" based on your termination? Good luck and hope all works out for you....earned benefits should be yours since you contractually earned them during your employment. hee haw
As a former unionized employee with Ford Canada, am I entitled to a pension?? 10 years employed and terminated years ago. Thanks for any help! I think you can, depending on how long ago you left the company. You may have vested rights to the plan depending on how long you worked and when you left. http://unifor584retirees.ca/caw_retirees/pdf/pension_booklet_2012.pdf This is the most recent copy of the Pension agreement I could find online. Please read it ALL. There is a contact address and the whole plan here. Please keep board updated as to any info you can pass on, you are not the only person in this position. Good Luck, this may have been part of your pay.
