VTXFRANK@GMAIL.COM
My wife and I are looking for a new truck for RV'ing. I would like the F350 for the increased payload. Yet I've heard the F350 has a much larger turning radius. This doesn't bother me because I drove big trucks in Iraq. I'm actually a Blackhawk crew chief, but I've heard the F350 is more capable of towing greater weights. We are thinking around 28,000 with a SRW on a 5th wheel setup. Is this doable? I'm looking to buy in the next two weeks. Can someone give me good advice on the differences between the F250 srw AND THE f350 srw PLEASE? i'LL BE TRADING IN A 2015 eXPLORER sPORT WITH 42,000 and in great shape. 03expy07
Welcome to BlueOvalForums. There is a lot of good info to be found here, however, you will find the Super Duty answers you are looking for at Ford-Trucks.com. That’s where most of the Super duty guys are. fordmantpw
There is no turning radius difference between 250 and 350 SRW. However, if you are planning to tow 28k lbs, you really need a dually. You will be severely overweight with a SRW. I would go with an F450 and get he much tighter turning radius if I were you and towing 28k.
campingnut
Yes I have to agree with the above post 28K will be way to much for a srw f350. Try and stay around 16000 for a srw.
7591250sd
The 2018 guide shows 32.500 for 5th wheel towing, and payload of 5310 lbs with the F450 DRW 4x4, and 350 payload would not come close to handle the pin weight..
