Anthony
Continuing the fine history of remaking a car to almost look the last one. Not bad though. The grille fits better on this car...little more "hips". Other than that.....not straying too far from the existing formula. PS: Don't let the camo fool you, those headlights are just as big as the current ones. Edited November 13, 2017 by Anthony
fuzzymoomoo
PS: Don't let the camo fool you, those headlights are just as big as the current ones. yeah, it's pretty obvious. You can see the outlines of the bezel cut out of the camo
coupe3w
And the tail light are bigger also.
silvrsvt
Is it me, or does the grill make the car look like it’s sucking a lemon?

Pioneer
Too bad it's not being made in the US. Looks like they could change the plant over in a weekend with how similar it looks to the current model.

Doesn’t seem like they would leave it uncovered like that so far away from production.
Pioneer
Yes but where would you build Ranger and Bronco? Flat Rock. Would have never put Continental there to begin with. Continental to Hermosillo. Electrics to MAP. Can I have my $30+ million golden parachute now? I just saved the company Billions and the Ranger would have launched 2 years ago. Can I have my $30+ million golden parachute now? I just saved the company Billions and the Ranger would have launched 2 years ago. Flat Rock would have required an even larger investment and far larger construction project than what MAP is

2b2
re: not changed ... the wheelbase is several(?) inches longer & afaik, it'll be out next year = cy2018/2019my ... in Europe if/tho not here
mettech
all it really needed was a new trans and updated interior.

akirby
all it really needed was a new trans and updated interior. It needed to be slightly larger both inside and out to compete with the new Civic and other new compacts.
kyle
Boring and very uninspiring to say the least. In a shrinking market, playing it safe does not cut it.
Fordowner
Grill makes the front look like a Mazda design. I like the back. Too bad they will be making these in China. I might look at the euro ones, though concerned how much the upper levels will cost.
akirby
Boring and very uninspiring to say the least. In a shrinking market, playing it safe does not cut it. Neither does making a huge investment. It all boils down to ROI. Also don't forget Focus is a world car not just North America. And I'm still not convinced they're showing the real new body without more camo.

jasonj80
These will sell much better in China and Europe that is the reason for the evolutionary style. American tastes in style will be come less important with the next generation of smaller cars as they will be selling less of them here.US will lead in SUV's and Truck Style. jpd80
While all of that's true, the moment people see the car up close and sit in it, they will realize that it's vastly changed and more like what they wanted..
grbeck
Looks quite handsome. Will the troublesome automatic be phased out for this new one? Is this the European version, or the Chinese-North American version? Or won't there be any major differences between each version?
akirby
Since the powershift DCT only ever existed on US made Focii I think it's safe to say the new one won't have it.
