silvrsvt
Hmmm... https://twitter.com/autoverdict/status/935308575773282304 Looks like the MKX refresh is going to be shown off...at least thats what it looks like under that sheet-the green house is similar
akirby
I didnt realize this before but somebody posted this on Facebook. An Instant and Lasting Impression is the Lincoln MKT tag line. So its either a new MKT/Town Car or the Aviator replacement. I think Town Car refresh is more likely. akirby
*innocent whistling* In that case I’ll go with Facebook option 2 - Plug-In Hybrid Aviator!

akirby
See post #36. But they could be keeping MKT Town Car for fleet duties.
fuzzymoomoo
If its what I'm think your hinting at...Aviator/MK NGExplorer? It could be a concept Aviator, because the MKT to my knowledge isn't getting the new face and what is under that cover is too long to be an MKX. Could be possibly stealing the advertising line for the MK Explorer too..since its more or less its replacement?

If its what I'm think your hinting at...Aviator/MK NGExplorer? I don't know - the vehicle pictured doesn't look like it's the right size to be anything other than the MKX refresh. fuzzymoomoo
From what little I can see through the sheet, it looks an awful lot like the drawing I saw Edited November 28, 2017 by fuzzymoomoo
rmc523
I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's an Aviator, but I'm just not seeing it.
rmc523
Another thing to consider - whatever it is is clearly a production model, with it having door handles. With Aviator at least 2 years off, that's another factor pointing in MKX's favor.

Show a "concept" (which is near production ready) 18 months to 2 years before launch, show the production models 6-12 months before production. fordmantpw
My wife says the hood is too long. Thats one thing I noticed about the last spy photos of the Explorer, the longer hood. The height seems to mimic those last pics too.
Harley Lover
Whatever it is, it appears to have the new grill (look at the leading top edge of the cover).

I was thinking the same thing...that damn sheet makes it hard to judge The C-pillar looks like its thicker then the MKX also
