Stray Kat
Hey gang what have you heard? Does anyone have any information on what we might expect from Ford at SEMA this year? Any of you going? I recently saw this one tidbit, feel free to add anything you wish. http://www.stangtv.com/news/ford-heats-up-the-hot-hatch-game-at-sema-2017/

jpd80
Ford Focus RS and ST concepts unveiled ahead of SEMA 2017 by Derek Fung.....http://www.caradvice.com.au/591681/ford-focus-rs-and-st-concepts-unveiled-ahead-of-sema-2017/ Four cars based on the Focus RS and ST will be among the 50 vehicles on the Ford stand at this year’s SEMA show. The Rally Revival Ford Focus RS (top) looks as though it’s ready for a bit of dirt-track racing, thanks to its vinyl graphics pack and white 19-inch OZ Racing Superturismo GT wheels. Performance is improved via a new high-flow induction kit, upgraded intercooler, a Ford Performance exhaust system, and a short-throw shifter. The car rides on 235/35 Nitto NT01 tyres, and a new RS-R coilover suspension setup that’s said to improve the ride and handling. Other rally-inspired exterior changes include a new rear wing and diffuser, aluminium splitters, and bonnet vents. Inside, the rear seats have been removed. In their place is a four-point roll cage, and Sparco EVO front seats. The Ford Focus RS TriAthlete (above) has a matte black body partially covered with airbrushed art. Among the upgrades under the bonnet is a Kompact dual port blow-off valve, which is said to reduce turbo lag. The car rides on 19-inch Forgestar CF5 Deep Concave wheels, 265/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, and an Air Lift performance suspension setup. The Tjin Edition Ford Focus RS (above) has an eye-catching Axalta Pennzoil paint job and carbon-fibre aerodynamic add-ons. Stopping power comes courtesy from a set of Baer Brakes with six-piston callipers. The Tjin Edition rides on 19-inch Rotiform alloy wheels, 245/35 Falken FK150 tyres, and BC Racing coilovers. Performance is beefed up via the new FullRace intercooler and intake, as well as the Ford Performance exhaust and short-throw transmission. Much of the visual impact of the Ford Focus ST by Blood Type Racing comes from its Midnight Purple paint, swollen wheel arches and the new Rally Innovations rear wing. The car rides on 19-inch B-Forged Performance 768SL alloy wheels and 245/35 Toyo Tires T1 Sports tyres. Other under-the-body changes include Air lift suspension and a Wilwood braking kit. Improving the car’s output is a Borg Warner EFI 7163 turbo, and a new intercooler and radiator, as well as a Ford Performance exhaust and short-throw transmission. Inside the there’s a set of Sabelt GT621L carbon-fibre racing seats with four-point safety harnesses, and a custom rear storage compartment for a drone. blksn8k2
I will be there the entire week with a group but will probably spend at least one day just sightseeing and the rest of the week at the show. This will be my third time attending SEMA. Flying out of Pittsburgh on 11/30. Some of the SEMA displays are outside which is a little disturbing considering recent events. blksn8k2
Sure would be cool to see some modified Rangers, even if they are ROW versions.

Anthony
They put so much effort into those Foci that will only be around for a handful of months. I guess they dont have much to choose from between those and the Mustang at this point. Weird timing. Next year will certainly be interesting. fuzzymoomoo
How much will the Focus RS really change, though? they eliminated 4 colors (only offered in that god awful Race Red for 2018), added a black roof and took ambient lighting out of the front door panels. Anthony
How much will the Focus RS really change, though? Well, I meant the entire generation of the Focus is ending shortly. Edited October 18, 2017 by Anthony

Although production ends in May I think they'll end up selling them for several more months until the imports are available.

jpd80
How much will the Focus RS really change, though? Good question, the 2018 Mustang 2.3 EB has basically caught up to the current RS' outputs, a better tune on a PFDI set up could probably see the RSm with more power and torque. It's also pretty common for the RS to arrive at the end of a Focus product cycle. Edited October 19, 2017 by jpd80

630land
Supposedly, the Mk4 Focus RS will still be imported from Germany.

jasonj80
If one ends up happening. A potential ST would probably come from Germany too. One article about the move made comment that premium trims and varients would come from Europe. Wonder if that could be Titanium or the Active model. Active model with AWD and such could be a good competitor to the Golf Alltrack and Subaru Crosstrek. SoonerLS
I can't tell what engine they're using in that '35, but at least the plug wires are running to the correct end of the engine.
