2018 Navigator black label discount first time buyer

Hello - I have driving BMW' X5 M and X5D for past 7-8 years but with 2 kids and occasional guests it's time for me to look for a full size suv. Looked all the major full size like LX, denalis, Tahoe,QX, Gls etc, but the new navigator beats them all in style, luxury and most importantly space and third row leg room.

My only concern is We have never driven such a big car and this would our first jump to a truet full size suv. Did anyone had same concerns or nervousness when they moved to such a big suv :) ?

I wanted a fully loaded Reservve with a pas through just became its easier and don't have to move seats, but the more I look at black label videos with chroma crystal blue and coastal blue interior, the more it makes me want a black label navigator.

I also like the BL come with suede headliner and I think that's the only option which is not availed on Reserve and few paint and wheel options. Is there any other major options missing from BL Vs Reserve. Does the BL has more leather around dash or on door panels ? What do guys think about center console vs pass through option ?

My BL msrp came to $99895 and dealer agreed for $3K off msrp and $500 deposit. How does the allocation works for Lincolns ? Every time I ask this question and he says sold orders get priority and I'll be delivered end of year or in Jan. Should I ask for allocation or order number ? Is $3K discount a good deal ? What discount others are getting ? Also another dealer asked me about A,Z,X,D plan ? I have know idea about these pricing plans. Thanks

I've attached a copy of the guide I uploaded to the Ford Motor Company discussion thread so that you'll have some information on the vehicle ordering and scheduling process which is the same for both Ford and Lincoln.

Initial scheduling is restricted to Dealer stock orders until the "OK to Buy" status is achieved which is usually 4-6 weeks after the Job #1 Date. In order to reach the "OK to Buy" status, there must be 5 consecutive days with zero defects. Until then, produced vehicles are stored at the plant. Once the "OK to Buy" status is reached, vehicles coming off the assembly line are released for immediate shipment to dealers. Vehicles produced prior to the "OK to Buy" and stored at the plant are released for shipment after they've been re-inspected and either been repaired or pass the necessary quality standard.

Retail orders are not scheduled until the "OK to Buy" status is achieved or about 4-6 weeks after the Job #1 Date, whichever comes first. With a Job #1 Date of 09/25/2017 for the 2018 Lincoln Navigator, the estimated delivery for retail orders in January is probably a good estimate or slightly later.

Pricing would be dependent on the size of your market, your Lincoln Dealer's Navigator sales history and volume.

I wanted to provide this information so that you'd know what the ordering, allocation and scheduling process is like. Hope this information helps!

The A,Z,X,D plans are all special pricing for employees, retirees, or members of particular clubs or associations. I just ordered my Reserve on X plan that I have through membership with Mustang Club of America. I think you can join even if you don't own a Mustang. Our Reserve MSRP was $89,795 but we will pay $84,505. There was no back and forth, just built the car and got the price. There is a formula that bases the price off the dealer invoice plus .6% if I remember correctly. Edited by boredinbirmingham

Wow ! I looked at the Mustang club of America for X plan. Its $25 / years for Associate member and you get X Plan benefit. If I register now, will I qualify for the X plan discount or is there a minimum time I have to be a member before I get the X plan discount ? Anyways as explained above Retail orders will delivered early next year.

X plan on an Expy should be right around dealer invoice or about $5K off MSRP as shown above. The actual formula is invoice minus 0.4% + $275. HOWEVER - it's totally voluntary on the dealer's part. They do not have to accept X plan pins, especially on new hot vehicles. Check with the dealer(s) before joining anything to get a pin.

I got my xplan PIN same day as getting membership. My dealer didn't need my PIN until delivery, I just told him I had one and it was so easy from there.

Nice let me check with him on Tuesday if he will accept Xplan pricing for additional savings :)

If they don't you can always find another dealer, the price should be the same. You can google the partner code for Mustang Club of America and enter it in at the www.fordpartner.com site and navigate from that site to the build and price for lincoln and see what your cost would be. One of the commenters here helped me a bunch as well with this and now I am waiting on my own Navigator and couldn't be happier.

When I ordered my 2017 Lincoln Continental Black Label, the dealer told me that Black Label vehicles automatically get moved to the front of the production schedule. I don't know if this is true or not, but it took right at about 6 weeks from ordering to receiving my vehicle. Now, this was already later in the model year, so it was already past all the initial quality checks that happen at the beginning of a new model year and new model. I'm sure a new Navigator order being placed now will take much longer after production starts this Fall.

Is there any way to track the progress once production starts?

Regarding the X-plan and Mustang Club of America, the official rule says you have to be a member for 60 days. Thus, if ordering a vehicle, join now and you will be golden. They will ask for a copy of your membership card when purchasing (they need it for their files).

Here's a primer on allocations/priority/etc: http://www.cherod.com/mustang/allocations.htm

You can follow progress of the vehicle build on the following websites (they don't always work from what I read and they won't return any results until your vehicle has a VIN: http://www.cotus.ford.com or http://wwwqa.cotus.ford.com

The order number and dealer code will be on the order confirmation that you get from the dealer.

Thanks for the heads up on the Mustang Club membership card, I didn't know there was a minimum requirement on membership length or that they would need a copy of my member card! Also, thanks for the tracking site as well!

Honestly you can probably get the same pricing with a little negotiation. Ford does give the dealer a small spiff check for each plan sale but it's not enough to justify a $2K price difference. The good news is that once you have a pin you can buy it from any dealer willing to sell it to you for the same exact price with no haggling.

Just placed the order on a 2018 black label model fully loaded with pass thru option.

With X Plan , I saved $5800. My order sheet says " priority 10". Is that good ? Since pass thru option is late availability, dealer said it could be second quarter 2018.

Also, can we delete the front lincense bracket ? Dealer will check if it's possible , currently system din't allow him to delete the front license plate bracket.

Congrats on your order! Prioritiy 10 is the best you can get, my order was assigned a 19 and I am asking for 10, should hear back soon. I also do not want the front license place and was told by the dealer that since we live in a state that doesn't require it for the state license plate that it won't come with it. I'm gonna make sure on this as well and get it in writing along with my request for no dealership advertising stickerS. I know this is a little off topic but do you have any plans on paint protection like a clear bra? I know the dealer is gonna try and sell me on this but I'm going elsewhere for anything of this nature.

My order does not have a front license plate bracket. I am in Florida where they are not required. According to the order guide, it is an optional item.

Also, as far as priority, my understanding is that the priority is specific to a dealership, so even if you are 19, if there is nothing lower than you, it's the same as having priority 10.

Looks like front license plate bracket is an optional item in the ordering guide. That means dealer should be able to delete the option even though in Ohio front license plate is requited ? All my BMW and few Jeeps came without front license plate bracket. I saw all the cars in Lincoln dealership had front license plate bracket :(
