bdegrand
I have a new C-MAX Hybrid Titanium on order and wanted to know what is the best tire pressure to use. I read Car and Driver Test review and they had 38 PSI in front and rear. Also read on this forum owners were up to 51 PSI.
akirby
It's really simple - whatever it says on the placard on the driver's door jamb is the minimum pressure which is usually 35 or 38 psi. You can go higher than that if you want (say 38-42) but don't get close to the max psi on the tire sidewall. 51 is almost certainly way too high.
