Zedster427
I'm in the market for a new F350. I was at a couple of dealers shopping around and could not notice how wavy the exterior finish is on the door panels on the new 2017. It was not just one truck but everyone on the dealer's lots I visited. Standing at the rear of the truck simply sight down the body and below the window frame on the doors you will see what I am talking about. I understand some body imperfections are normal, these are mass produced vehicles, but the trucks I looked at were real bad. The bed, hood, roof and low section of the doors and front fenders are fine, just the doors seem to have this issue. The dealer said first time they heard a customer noticed it. tbone
I'm pretty particular about my truck and I have not noticed this on my 2017 F150, which shares the same cab with the F250 and above. I have also looked at all forms of the F Series on the dealer lots and never noticed it there either. This seems strange to me there would be that many with a defect like that. fordmantpw
The front fenders on my '17 F350 are a bit wavy. It bugs me if I look close so I try not to look too close. I think it just has to do with the stamping of the aluminum.
fuzzymoomoo
You sure it's not just waves in the paint? I've seen that plenty of times.
tbone
I'll take a closer look at mine to see what I can see.

fordmantpw
You sure it's not just waves in the paint? I've seen that plenty of times. Nope the panels are wavy. I'll see if I can get a pic of it.
tbone
You would think there would be more complaints since they have sold a ton of these.
fordmantpw
You would think there would be more complaints since they have sold a ton of these. You really have to look close to see it, and the truck has to be clean and shiny. I tried to get a pic of it, but you really have to see it in person, looking at it at different angles. I'm pretty particular with my vehicles, but it doesn't bother me as much as the tiny ding on the hood of my last truck that I could see ALL THE TIME when I was driving it. Zedster427
I have not been looking at SD's for the last couple of years. Today I stopped by and checked out a few trucks at the the local dealer. The wavy body panels are the same as back in 2017. In person the trucks looked terrible. The attached still pic captures it pretty well. Body gaps and panel alignment were not that good either. I was disappointed to see this I really like the Tremor package.
