The Multimatic-built car, which has competed in both the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and Pirelli World Challenge this year under series-specific homologations, received its final approval on July 31, per a Ford spokesperson. Ford Performance Global Director Dave Pericak told Sportscar365 in June that the relocation of the oil tank had been one of the holdups in the approval process, which was initially intended for the start of the year.
