triniexr
Hey All, I was referred to this forum for assistance. I ordered a 2017 Ford F250 Platinum on May 31st and COTUS is telling me I will receive it on Sept 8th. A bit ridiculous if you ask me. I was told 6 to 8 weeks. I needed this truck yesterday. I was told to post my VIN so here it is: 2017 SUPERDUTY F-250 PLATINUM Ordered On: 05/31/2017 Order Number: H315 VIN: 1FT7W2BT2HEE38534 Estimated Delivery: 09/08/2017
Pioneer
The delivery date given to you is at the end of the ETA window. Your truck is scheduled to be built on August 17th with a dealer ETA between September 2nd ans 8th. Your dealer is why it took so long. They had your order coded a priority 19, the lowest priority you can give a special order.

akirby
Really???? WTH I told them I need it ASAP If your truck was the only customer ordered super duty then it will get built first anyway - provided the dealer has allocation. But if other orders had lower priorities they would have been built first.

Thanks for the info guys.

Tell them you found out your priority was 19th - the worst it could possibly be - and your upset about it. May not work but it won't hurt to ask.
ice-capades
The WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) System defaults to priority code 19. Maybe, just maybe, there were other retail orders for that dealership. Most likely it was a case of the individual responsible for placing orders not knowing or not paying attention to how the WBDO ordering system works. Regardless, the next morning the dealership would have received the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) which would have shown that the vehicle was ordering with priority code 19. If the dealership had reviewed the DORA confirmation, all they had to do was change the priority code to a 10 or something lower than 19 if there were other Super Duty retail orders placed ahead of it. Allocation is a different matter but Ford is pretty good at scheduling retail orders even if a Dealer doesn't have allocation. In any event, the Dealer could have sent the order information (Body Code, Order Number) to their Ford Zone Manager and the Regional Scheduler and the scheduling would have been expedited! So yes, I'd also suggest asking the dealership to do something to compensate for the long order-to-delivery time! ice-capades
If every dealership had an ice-capades we wouldn't have all these issues! Thanks so much for the complements! I just want our BOF members to have accurate information so that they can get the vehicle they want and be able to communicate with their Dealers from a position of having the best information available, even if it's more information than the Dealer is aware of. I can be passionate at times when Dealers either don't know what they're doing in managing their order banks or give customers incomplete or inaccurate information. That's when I'll do anything that I can to make sure that our BOF members have the answers they're looking for. I never ask to sell a vehicle from my dealership as that's not why I'm here. If I can establish credibility by providing the best information and advice to members here then my dealership at least gains a better reputation due to me efforts here. Thanks again!

They basically said no... gave me some bs about its not them and they aren't making a profit. I purchased the 8 year warranty too.... akirby
It may not be their fault if there were no other superduty orders ahead of yours with lower priority - only they would know that. It was worth a try.

Pioneer
Cotus updated today saying "in production"!!!!!! Hopefully it gets delivered soon. It usually goes into that status about a week before the build date.

Pioneer
Build weeks hardly ever change once scheduled. Build days may move up or down one or two. Nothing too drastic.

Mfoltz
Pioneer said mine was in Crestline Ohio on monday. I'm starting to go crazy waiting for it to get here. I figured I would get a call yesterday or today. Crestline is only about an hour and a half away from my dealer.
