dfs
Order bank open, but no order guide to be found. Delayed Continental purchase until Lincoln offers the options and features I desire. I want 18" wheels and Nav. N/A for 2017. Why 18's? Smoother ride, better traction, less cost up front and at replacement. 17's would be better yet! akirby
Could always use AA or CP for navigation. But honestly I don't think you'd notice any difference between the 18" and 19" tires as far as ride quality. Have you actually test driven the 19s? brucelinc
I test drove all 3 wheel/tire sizes. The difference between the 18s and 19s is less than slight in terms of ride comfort. The 20s use Goodyear instead of Michelin and are firmer. Do you have any reason to believe the 2018 models will offer 18s on the Select or Reserve series or nav on the Premier? 2b2
I'm philosophically opposed to large/huge wheels but - the suspension tuning set up to ^compensate^ for them would need to be adjusted imho & - imho a dealer ought to be able to accommodate a wheel switch (until Lincoln implements a WheelBoutique)
akirby
We have 21s on our MKX and they aren't harsh at all. Lincoln does a good job with the suspension tuning. Where people mess up is using aftermarket wheels and tires that don't match the factory suspension. Remember these aren't small sports car tires - there is still a good bit of sidewall even on a 19 or 20 or 21.
brucelinc
The recommended pressure for the 19s is 33 PSI and that provides a very nice ride and good handling. If you really want a softer ride, it would not hurt anything to run 31. I typically do not suggest anyone lower the tire pressure but I get the impression that you are not a wild man behind the wheel. Tire pressure should be set when tires are cold and should be checked monthly.
ice-capades
Ford has still not released the 2018 Continental Order Guide. I'll upload it to the Order Guide Section as soon as it's available.
