F350 4x4 crew/c

vin and build date

Best Answer ElectroForce , 09 September 2017 - 12:14 PM

Same issue as Mfoltz.  It arrived at the unload point in Toronto on August 23rd and hasn't moved. I'm wondering if some units have a hold on them.  Only way to find out is to have your dealer contact their zone rep and see if they can get an answer.

thanks, It was delivered late Friday afternoon

I would  like any info on my order  Order #J333 Dealer #CB8189

ORDER DATE 05/25/17

My dealer hasn't received any build date or VIN as of 06/09/17. They told me that the factory was shut down the past week

Dealer codes start with and F. If you didn't have anything on the 9th, there wouldn't be any change today. Plant was running last week. They are shut down the weeks of July 3rd and 10th.

Talked to My dealer today.  He told me that my SD will not be built until July 19th or later ordered on May 25th 2017.

He told me that he was waiting on 14 super duties including mine.

Ford told him that there has been problems in building SD's.

I will try and get more info on my dealer's number so I can post it. I will be talking to him on wednesday face to face.

I must have made it in just in time... Order went in on 5/22.  It's built and waiting to get on a train.  ETA is 7/10.  Would be nice if it was a few days sooner!

OK. Figured it out. After playing with it awhile, I found that I have to put the letter F before the B8189.

So, dealer FB8189 order number J33 still doesn't have a VIN. It's coded priority 10 so you can't get better than that.

Looking at the dealers total orders, it looks like yours in the next to be scheduled. Looks like a fairly large dealer too.

Wish I could help more. Bump the thread next Wednesday or so and I'll look again. I think they schedule VIN's on unscheduled orders on Tuesday.

If your vehicle was ordered from Galpin Ford, I have news. Your VIN is 1FT8W3BT2HEE32873 and it will be built the week of July 24th. ETA to your dealer is around September 5th.

Thank you very much! Any idea why so long? Now I get to find a ride for 2 months and unfortunately cancel a trip. But I do feel better getting the info, thanks again.

No clue. Could have been an option you selected holding it up. I'd have no way to know.

Ok,thanks again for looking. I guess that is another problem of choosing almost every option. Every one is a potential delay. I guess I was wondering if it was a priority thing or a dealer caused delay. Oh well 4 months of anticipation and buying all the accessories

Yes, but did Ford take your truck over 2 months before and leave you with no car. Unless I pay for a rental while I wait?

Why would Ford take your truck before you get your new one? You can usually extend leases month by month if that's the case.

It is a buy back. I've been trying to extend the time. No invoice or info for them to know how long. So pushing to finish this week

My truck wasn't a lease, so no. But as aKirby said, they will usually extend while you wait.

My truck was not a lease. Due to engine issues Ford bought my truck back. It has been in the dealer since March while they tried to diagnose the problem. Been in the shop so many times and still not resolved. So between the service department, sales and reacquired vehicle group. Nobody can answer what's going to happen now.
