KevH
I waited too long to order a 2017 F-150. I should have done it a month ago and I realize that. I asked my dealer to order a 2017 4x2 SuperCrew Lariat 500a last week by modifying one of their existing orders. They provided me an Order Number and I have religiously been checking COTUS for the last week. The dealer was kind enough to check with their regional rep today (Wednesday) who said, "I’m showing this as unscheduled still. Orders are pretty much locked in for balance out at this point unfortunately and it looks like W1C is very constrained." Am I totally out of luck? Is there a chance it will still get built? tbone
I don't have the answer to your question, but is there a reason that you want a 2017 verses a 2018, since the 18 will have some nice changes to it? Pioneer
You're not totally shut out. Make sure they changed the priority on the order to reflect it's not a stock unit - 10 is best. If you don't have a VIN by the end of the month it might get kicked to an 18.
KevH
So this morning I checked COTUS, and long and behold, a VIN appeared and it shows "In Order Processing." Does that mean it will be built?

If it has a VIN I think the answer is Yes.
Pioneer
I've seen orders cancelled with a VIN, but your chances are better if you have one.
KevH
Is there a particular day of the week that they would schedule the build date or could it be at any time?

I don't like the new grill, I don't like the way it has "F-150" in giant letters on the tailgate. I don't want direct injection nor stop-start. So I want a 2017 rather than an 2018. So I want a 2017 rather than an 2018. Gotcha, I was just curious. The new grill is different. I like the current style as well, so you are still getting a great looking truck. This shows how different peoples tastes are. I like the 18 grills better, especially the painted versions.
