TXMike
I'm trying to find out what the part number is for the patch that's required to install the Ford navigation system a 2008 Ford Edge Limited with the 6 disc CD changer and Sync. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
chefduane
Have you tried researching the Edge forum? www.fordedgeforum.com Probably more info there specific to Edge issues.

fordtech1
I'm not understanding what you are asking for. 2008 edge had hdd based navigation system. Are you looking for the product key for the updated map software disc? If so that only comes with the disc.
TXMike
So for the stock 6 disc with Sync to be upgraded to the Ford Factory Nav to work with it along with all the current (in the vehicle sync components) I was told you had to use a patch/retro kit. akirby
Are you talking about swapping a navigation unit into a vehicle that did not have navigation previously?

fordtech1
Ford does not have an accessory kit to do that. It's not that bad of a job, but you will have to get parts from a radio center like united radio. You can buy parts individually from eBay. However, the radio it's self plus the right side steering wheel switch will need replacing. Plus you will need to modify a couple wires. Also, depends on if you have sony sound of not, you may need an amplifier.
