It looks like something done in the early 90s.
twintornados
Looks like the result of an FJ Cruiser having an affair with a Scion xB.

silvrsvt
Guess Toyota wants a do over on the FJ to compete with the Wrangler and Bronco? What the hell is that black stripe on the drivers side in between the B and C pillars? The grill looks like its pair of goggles or something? Chester
I actually kind of like it. No, I wouldn't be caught dead in it myself, but for a young twenty something that mostly needs to hustle around and may want to drive to the mountains or the beach, this maybe something they can afford, that still gets decent mileage etc. It's competition is the Renegade and nit much else. Kind of an evolution of the crappy Honda Element. I think it will mostly be young women that this is catered too, but they part of the market. My daughter is 13.5 years old. In 3 years or so, I plan to get her something, that she can drive her last year or so of high school and throughout college. This looks like something she would want (guessing). 630land
Older people ended up being the Honda Element's buyers, and elder Camry owners may want to get a "Toyota Jeep" for retirement.
