blksn8k2
This appears to be mostly an appearance package added to the XLT trim level. It also looks to include some Wildtrak features (crew-cab only, leather seats, murdered trim ) but with more of an off-road theme. Not sure if the XLT has higher towing and payload capabilities than the Wildtrak...? If it does then the FX4 could be a little more versatile than the Wildtrak while adding some style over the XLT. http://www.motoring.com.au/ford-ranger-fx4-ute-revealed-105935/
Sevensecondsuv
Anyone know which manual transmission these things run? I'm trying to gauge whether or not it will be offered here when the Ranger finally comes back....

blksn8k2
I would prefer a manual trans 4x4 but I would be okay with the 10-speed auto and paddle shifters, especially behind a 2.7EB. A guy can dream, right?
fuzzymoomoo
I don't want an automatic period But I'm being forced to accept reality and will begrudgingly get one since I will be forced to
blksn8k2
All my previous Rangers had a manual but I had no choice when I switched to a 2nd gen Sport Trac. It could be worse. We could be driving Chevies
Sevensecondsuv
I figure with the engineering already complete for the rest of the world, it wouldn't add much cost to offer it here. Just the EPA certifications basically. I doubt it'll be available on all the trims. I'll be happy if I can get a 4x4 XLT with a manual. blksn8k2
Ford MT82 manual 6-speed EU press kit http://ranger.fordpresskits.com/ If this is the same MT-82 manual box that is used in the Mustang I believe it was designed by Getrag and is manufactured in China. Ogre
Very sharp - and really like the Tickford-modded version as well. Can't wait to see what we finally get here.
