joemcgreal Posted February 24, 2017 Share Posted February 24, 2017 I just purchased a new 2017 Lincoln Continental and when I attempted to put the license plate on, the mounting holes don't line up with the license plate. I have a Michigan Plate. Only two of the four mounting holes line up. What's up with this design. Are different states in the USA using a smaller plate? What's the remedy? akirby Posted February 24, 2017 Share Posted February 24, 2017 On most new vehicles you only use the top 2 screws and the bottom two are rubber tips that go into the bottom plate holes for alignment.
