Pioneer
I disagree since it looks identical to the current ROW model. I don't see a gap between the rear doors and the bed. Not even looking at the camo stickers, look at the white color of the DOP underneath it.

blksn8k2
Looks like one of the same trucks that were sitting on trailers supposedly at the Melbourne, AU airport. Everest grill and all.

mackinaw
We saw a couple of Rangers just north of the Grand Canyon back in May. No camo or anything. I figured they drove up from Wittmann for the day.
Pioneer
Poor attempt at trolling Not trolling. Show me the gap in the DOP pinch weld that shows a seperate bed. It's one solid piece from wheelwell to wheelwell.
fordmantpw
I don't know, I'm with Pioneer here. I don't see any break to show the bed is separate. If it is not unibody, then they did a mighty fine job on camo.

RangerCapture.JPG Well I have to say after all these unibody comments I went back for a second look-must agree does look like it is one continuous side panel. However, wasn't it stated in one of the press releases that it was .."rugged BOF etc etc?
Bob Rosadini
It looks identical to the trucks that where photographed in Australia The ones that were on the shipping pallets right? Went back to those pix and for sure my poor eyes don't detect a gap between bed and cab. Go back to the new Ranger website. I was disappointed because there was no mention of any commercial use. Sad to say, perhaps it WILL be another Ridgeline-sad to say. My 04 FX4 is looking better all the time.
tbone
I highly doubt this truck will be unibody. I would take these pictures with a grain of salt.
blksn8k2
Here's a side view of the current Wildtrak. With the way the cab and bed align it would not be that difficult to lay a camo wrap across that gap. Not cutting it is one less step in the process plus it confuses guys like us. Gnostic
maybe its really a bronco mule ?
lfeg
Hey, it can still be BOF, anyone here remember the early 60's F Series "Unibody" pickups? They used a conventional frame, but cab and bed were integrated.
SoonerLS
DOP DOP? Taken in context, it's entirely possible that the crewcab version may be like the old early '60s "unibody" F-100s (bonded cab and bed on top of a frame). There's not very much space between the rear wheel well and the cab, so they may not have enough space for a traditional cab/bed structure, and it's not like a bed that short is giving you a lot of space for a useful replacement. Maybe supercab/regular cab variants would have a more traditional cab/bed structure...

If it is not unibody, then they did a mighty fine job on camo. RangerCapture.JPG It was difficult to find images of the current ROW Ranger without running boards, but these are what I found: You can see the frame rail (or DOP pinch weld, whatever you want to call it) extends down the entire side on crew cab models, which also do indeed have a separate bed. Though at first glance it may appear to be different/unibody, I'm in the 'they just covered up the gap with camo' camp. I agree....some photos Zoomed in you can see how the camo makes it really difficult to tell what is under it...it appears to bulge out visually Here a spy shot from a 2015 Ranger Wouldn't be hard to hide the gap with piece of camo over the top it.
