The Mitsubishi display at Chicago Auto Show was nearly empty, and in a far corner. Lancers, which are going away were still on display, but not too many lookers.

 

They relied on having a Japanese name, but not same as the others' quality. Now part of Renault-Nissan, but how long will they keep up the US dealers?

 

What stinks is there is an empty plant in Central IL, and it was only built 28 years ago.

Maybe they should partner with FCA. That would be a real power house.

Compact coupes just died out, only one left is Civic Si.

 

Main reasons were insurance costs, useless back seats, and weren't the "only cool cars" to drive if under 30. Used to be a right of passage for teenagers. Now, they use Uber or Lyft, until they have to buy a car.

 

Also, many want to avoid getting speeding tickets for 6 over the limit.
