fordtech1
Take a test light and check for power on big cable going to the back of the alternator. Unplug regulator and check for power on orange and blue wire. Also, with key on and regulator unplugged the charge light should be off. Plug it back in and light should come on. There should be a white and black wire that goes from regulator 3 wire plug to a single wire plug on alternator. Make sure pins aren't damaged and connect securely. Bsw61per
Power is present at both plugs, fuseable links are good, no broken wires that I can see. Any more ideas?
fordtech1
I have seen where the pins are spread open and don't make contact. Look at those pins closely. I've seen folks take a dvom and probe into the connector and spread the pins. May not be a bad idea to solder in a new regulator connector to rule that out.
