Wolfeman
Mine is one of the October builds and I am doing my best to keep up with it's whereabouts but haven't heard anything about shipping yet. That said, looks like quite a few of the recent builds have made it to the lots and are in customers hands. Also word is that Ford will use the plant shutdown over Christmas break to draw down the inventory that has stockpiled while waiting on OKTB. So, has anyone here taken delivery yet or have an upcoming ETA or shipping information?

fuzzymoomoo
I know they're being shipped, a few of the temporary holding lots by me were previously filled only with Raptors are now starting to empty, and I've seen quite a few on trucks heading to wherever they're heading. Ok to buy has been given also.
Bryan1
Some have. I saw a beautiful new 2017 Raptor on the road a few days ago.
Wolfeman
My last update shows mine is now in the shipping yard awaiting transit with Norfolk Southern. Last update was December 28th and it hasn't moved since.

elfsysop
Just got a call from my dealer, my Raptor is on a train heading west. ETA week of January 25, 2017. Well got dang! I may just get one after all (fingers crossed)
tbone
Good news for you, glad to hear. According to my dealer, I'm waiting on their next allocation and I'm next up. I was too slow on the draw and unfortunately I was the 3rd order in. They have now delivered two, so I wait a little longer it seems. touchdowntn
I ordered in September and have been priority 10 since the order was submitted. Some other folks in a Raptor group I belong to, ordered after me and have trucks. My dealer says late April is probably when I might see it. Does anyone here know or can explain to me how the ordering process works. I have ordered all but 2 vehicles I have owned in my life from Ford and never had a situation remotely similar to this regarding wait time or lack of information. Highly considering cancelling the order and potentially placing a order for a 2018 in July. Especially since it's only another couple of months, and at this point what's another couple months for a model year newer vehicle. A member of the group mentioned that there was some talk around the plant about the 2018 potentially getting a upgraded V8 TT. If this is confirmed before I get a VIN and get scheduled, I definitely plan on cancelling the 2017. Can anyone shed any light on this situation with my order or the V8 status for 2018? akirby
If your order is a priority 10 and it's not on a material hold then your dealer has no allocation.

I am also in the same boat and had ordered in August. My understanding is it's an allocation issue. I am also a priority 10 and I have had very little movement. My dealer was allocated 7 Raptors for the year and they have received two so far and I'm expected to be the Third. Like you I've been on the fence about getting this one because it sounds like it will probably be March or April by the time it's built and delivered. I personally don't like buying vehicles that late in the model year and there's a few changes coming to the 2018 that might be an upgrade. I have also heard the rumors about the V8 but haven't been able to confirm that either. I would prefer to have a V8 so that makes it tempting to wait and see. elfsysop
I was two seconds from cancelling and taking the deposit back, trust me. I haven't bought a car since 2002 BMW and 2001 Ford Explorer sport track 2x4. I researched the 2017 Raptor and it really excited me. The Ford dealers in my vicinity were allocated 4 trucks each, and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Very restricted EPA standards here. They charge gas guzzler taxes on hellcat models from the competition. I'm not sure how much longer California will even allow these trucks into the state so I am not taking any chances on waiting for 2018 or going through the hassle I went through to order this one. I hope and pray that this truck is everything I want because it is my retirement gift to myself, I plan on taking tours of national parks in Utah and beyond and camping on pismo beach with my lovely wife. You are never to old to love life and enjoy the freedom this country offers, spend your money or the government will get it, or worse yet, your lazy kids. I'll post pictures when my dream truck arrives to this flooded region of the country. Road closed? Bullshit.....

Wolfeman
On a bright note, I got a rail car number from my dealer today and am now tracking through Norfolk Southern. Departing Peru, IN as of late tonight. ETA of 1/24.
tbone
Bobby Wojcik - I saw on the tracking thread that you got your truck. So what's your first impression?

Wolfeman
Mine has been sitting at the final destination rail yard for one week. I'm hoping that it gets delivered to the dealer this week. My dealer is 2 hours away and my next off day is Thursday so that is what I am shooting for at this point.
ice-capades
My dealership received its first 2017 Raptor, which was ordered for stock, on Friday afternoon at 2:00pm. It was sold and delivered by 6:00pm Friday! Raptor was a Shadow Black SuperCrew with every available option.

This is really irritating considering I ordered in late August, apparently the third order at my dealer, and I have yet to even get a build date. Mine is a sold unit, and a dealer gets one for stock? That's BS, considering that stock truck is exactly what I ordered.
akirby
It's up to each dealer how they handle their allocation. Blame the dealer not Ford.
tbone
The dealer says it is the way ford has allocated. They have received 2 of 7 allocatoins so far, I'm the third. There are 4 mode after me so I can only imagine what they are thinking. The dealer has been great in the past on several trasactions so why would I think they are not being honest now.
akirby
I didn't say they were being dishonest, just that Ford gives each dealer a certain allocation and it's up to the dealer who they sell to and how and in what order.
tbone
I follow u. And that is what the dealer said. I was third to order they are waiting on the 3rd allocation. The dealer and me have to wait.I just think it is unfortunate that a stock order goes out before a sold one.
