fuzzymoomoo
Today in GM still doesn't get it news: https://www.yahoo.com/news/next-generation-buick-regal-stunning-011938883.html I predict they'll sell dozens
atomcat68
Americans will enter showrooms and see 3 CUVs which are a popular body style and a wagon which was popular in the 70's. Subauru can get away with this because they currently only have the Forester as a CUV and their wagon has very SUV/CUV like capabilities which Buick does not bring to the table. I honestly think they'd be better off trying a minivan first.
IMSA-XJR9
It probably won't sell, and it may not even show up on our shores . . . but I dig it! http://jalopnik.com/holy-crap-the-next-buick-regal-wagon-looks-gorgeous-1789685651
PREMiERdrum
Looks great, won't sell. 9/10, would hoon.

akirby
The current Insignia/Vauxhall already has an estate wagon version available elsewhere and they're not selling it here, so I wouldn't read anything into that.

92merc
Too many doors....... While "most" are two doors, I don't think it's a requirement. http://blog.caranddriver.com/2013-mercedes-benz-cls63-amg-shooting-brake-its-not-a-griswold-wagon/

A 4 door shooting brake is really just an estate. Credit MB for clever marketing.
BORG
Of course they will sell the Regal Wagon in the US, this is Buick! The same company that is also selling the Cascada. I think all wagons are pretty damn hideous, this one is no exception. But the new Insignia is mighty fine looking, I think they finally have a design language I like while Lincoln has turned into the old Buick I hate. Cascada came out in 2012, they just began selling it here. I would not look for a predictable pattern from Buick most of all.
papilgee4evaeva
"Ooooh, look! A Buick shooting brake!" Said no one in North America.... Well, how many of us 'Muricans know what a shooting brake even is?

The wagon is coming this time. So will the version with plastic cladding to compete with Outback.

I wasn't implying that it wasn't, just saying that seeing a picture of an Opel Insignia wagon doesn't automatically mean we'll get a Regal wagon. 630land
All over car enthusiast sites, such as TTAC, and even here, the fans go "I'd be interested in a wagon" or "I want one now!" Then, when available, they have tons of excuses why they didn't buy. "I wanted a manual diesel" "No V8/BOF" and the most common "My spouse wouldn't let me". So, little to no sales and then more complaints.
rmc523
I file this under "who cares." They'll sell 1,000 of them a year and drop it after a year or two.

I guarantee this will sell as well as the CTS wagon and the ELR, combined.

RichardJensen
Oh yeah, I forgot that there was once a CTS wagon! Is there still a CTS wagon?
rmc523
Oh yeah, I forgot that there was once a CTS wagon! Is there still a CTS wagon? Nope, it was dropped with the redesign to the current generation (if not a year or two before).
