What happened to Deanh?

Recommended Posts

Maybe Deanh got a new job? Wasn't he a sales representative at a Ford dealership?

He is/was the fleet sales manager for a dealership out in California, IIRC.

Maybe he finally started getting all those vehicles that he was complaining about not being able to get...

There is never anything newsworthy posted here that I have not already seen first on regular newsfeeds. This used to be a prime go-to source. It has not been that in many years.

Back then you had a lot of engineers and managers that were one way or another let go

from Ford,so they were fresh with info on what was going on inside the company.

I remember people like Austin and Theoldwizzard would relay lots of anecdotal evidence

of what went on back then but you have to remember that a lot of the current crop are locked

up behind confidentiality agreements and that Ford does check for "leaks" on social media,

it's not like the old days where you could get away with stuff and no one would trace IP addresses

I have been retired for 9.5 years. I don't see many folks from Dearborn (or Livonia) very often. Lot's of new face in Dearborn. Shortage of desk space.

The only "nugget" I got this year is there is a new I4 diesel coming to replace the Puma, including the I5. I am pretty sure it will be "all Ford" (no JV).

Thanks and appreciate your input, it's hard to get info these days because so many new faces as you say

and an unwillingness to spill the beans due to confidentiality agreements. A lot of these new people have

been treated well by Ford so probably don want to engage in leaking info..that could all change if Ford's

sales drop rapidly and personnel / projects get canned...

I just had the conversation the other day at work. Social Media is destroying discussion forums. I used to own / run a lot of automotive forums and now I've gotten out of them all because of user decay.

However, that is not to say forums do not fill a vital niche. Organized discussion in a somewhat anonymized fashion is awesome (even though I don't take advantage of that anonymity)! I'd much rather talk about the stuff we do here than on Facebook, etc...

Also, when BON first started, the prevalence of automotive blogs were not a thing. People came to places like this to get the inside scoop.

Now social media has made the Consumers become the Publishers.

All good lads, wont get into all the details, just had a loaded plate for a while, actually seemingly forever...call me Sleprock...ongoing battles with Insurance dealing with an 84 year old tenant driving through our rental in Dana Point snapping off a gas lines, rodents eating water supply lines in same house, Owner passed here at the store ( wonderful man for whom I have worked for for over half of my life!!! ) and that but skims the surface etc etc....main reason was the site just kept on locking my computer whenever I tried posting something, but seems fine now ( saying that before I hit POST )....and I must be becoming a crotchety old bastard as my patience wanes faster as of late.....so barring any hiccups Ill make a concerted to frequent more often....forgot how long its been. Some GOOD stuff on the horizon....cant wait to hear the scoop on Fords Model E...the Tesla bots are almost unbearable...Cheers boys Im BAAAAAAACK
